In Response to Websites

Portal Wisconsin:

Within this simplistic website there are numerous tabs with areas for both events and artists a like. Searching under visual media in the interest areas tab brought to my attention many up and coming exhibits surrounding art in the Wisconsin area, including Jordan Eagles: “Blood Illuminations” which is a show I'd be interested to attend due the artwork physically being apart of the artist himself. Besides that the gallery of art pieces within the gallery tab is quite inspiring for that they give astonishing examples of art in every form imaginable.

Wisconsin Arts Board:

While on the exterior the Wisconsin Arts Board website seems the most bland, the magic comes from the opportunities provided from within the digital walls of white and purple. With the hardest part of choosing an art school besides the overall questioning of your parents being the stiff and ever lengthy bill to go to such an establishment, WAB posts grant opportunities that could help lighten the economically overbearing weight off your shoulders. Along with this WAB also has monthly news dealing with art surrounding the Midwest area along as well as links to art directories around Wisconsin.

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards:

This website is truly a enigma for that while I truly love the artwork of my fellow peers as well as the awards and bonds they offer, my stomach knots up just writing about it for that I feel disheartened when going back to my measly art for that I feel there is no comparison. To say the least I'm jealous of those with greater skills in my fields of interest, but who isn't? All in all I do like this website for that even if I know I'll never be on it, Scholastic gives credit to young artist and shows them the respect they deserve.
